Booth Movers, Ltd. was established in the early 1940s by William Booth, a prominent figure in the moving business throughout Hudson and Bergen Counties, New Jersey. The business grew and flourished through the fifties and sixties, and in 1978, Douglas Padla took charge of the company.

Since then, Mr. Padla has developed Booth Movers into one of North Jersey’s most respected moving companies. Based out of Moonachie, New Jersey, Booth Movers operates as a diversified operation offering local and long distance moving, storage, product and furniture distribution, and cabinet delivery services. Our 32,000-square-foot warehouse and office complex is equipped with a sprinkler and alarm system, video surveillance, four bays and one drive-in door. We are licensed by the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Consumer Affairs, Office of Consumer Protection; are affiliated with Arpin Van Lines; and have I.C.C. rights for the United States.

Mr. Padla remains very active in the moving and storage industry and has served as both President and Chairman of the Board of the New Jersey Warehousemen and Movers Association (Circle of Excellence) and The NJ Movers Tariff Bureau. Booth Movers, Ltd. is a member of the American Moving and Storage Association (accredited ProMover), National Kitchen and Bath Association , BBB, Meadowlands Regional Chamber, Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce and Rotary International.
